I can remember Jody the day she started school at Central in Glencoe. She was always the fun loving classmate. Each year she would have our class at her home to swim in her pool and eat one-foot long hot dogs. We looked up to her and her wit and brains. Jane White-Ward

Jody was a wonderful person and was always helping others. I remember in 6th grade, at Central School, how everyone marveled at her writing skills. We would be given a list of words to use in a few paragraphs and her stories were so good, that almost every week, her writing was the best and she would have to read it aloud in front of the class. I think she was almost embarrassed about it.

Also, as Jane mentioned, we went to Jody's home at the corner of Sheridan Road and Ravine Glade for the annual class swimming party every summer. I always stayed in the shallow end because I didn't know how to swim. Then, she taught me how to jump on her trampoline without falling off or getting caught in the springs on the sides. Her mother reminded me of a blonde Jackie O. especially when she would drive Jody around in their big black Cadillac!

Whenever I drive past their home, I always think back to the "good old days". God Bless you Jody!!
