VERA SOLTAU OBITUARY

Vera G. Soltau, 51, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away Friday, June 20, 2003. Born and raised in Evanston, IL, she was a graduate of New Trier High School and attended University of Wyoming. She also was a graduate of Toby Coburn Design School, New York. Mrs. Soltau has lived and worked in Chicago, IL, Bremerton, WA and Scottsdale, AZ. Owner of "Red Racket", a women's apparel store whose territory was the Midwest and "Somewhere Else Antique Dealer", whose territory was the southwest. She also was an avid golfer, active in school functions, a sustaining member of the Jr. League in Phoenix and a member of Gainey Ranch Golf Club. A loving and dedicated mother and wife, she is survived by her husband of 21 years, Mike; children, Laura Gene Hewitt (U of A), Lyndsy Soltau (Wasatch Academy), Step children Krystn Nesselquist (Seattle), Lisa Soltau (Seattle), Mike Soltau, Jr., (Dallas), parents Gene and Ted Chadsy (Glenview, IL), brother Ward Woolman (Denver) and three step-grandchildren. Vera was one of the first girls who befriended me when I was new to Joseph Sears.  She and Sandy Barrett took me under their wing and helped me adjust to a knew school and all new friends. I will miss Vera the rest of my life.
