Bio:
Graduated after bouts of travels from The Evergreen State College in 1977 with a BFA in Art History and went on to intern and work for the Portland Art Museum. Left there to Pursue a photography career in Chicago in 1981. Received a grant in 1981 from the Illinois Arts Council to photograph Wrigley Field. 1n 1982 I was hired by the Cubs as the team photographer where I have somehow spent the pst 38 years. Amazing. During my tenure there I also was the set photographer for the Oprah Winfrey Show from 1989-1976.
I was also able to pursue my love of Jazz and Blues music and complete 2 published fine art books on Blues music. I have also published a book on Wrigley Field , One of WGN 60 years of Cubs coverage and a book of the 1st ten years of the Oprah Show.
20 years ago my wife and I opened a wedding and portrait studio focusing on new borns and infants in Oak Park in order to limit my travel shooting professional sports and focus on our family. I was a late bloomer to being a father and now relish it with all my heart and welcome school meetings and early bedtimes.
I still shoot for many sports clients such as Nike, Gatorade, Wilson , New Balnce, The NFL and NBA as well MLB Photos and what few remaing publications there are.
It has been a nice little life so far.
