PETER JON GOOTRAD OBITUARY

Peter J. Gootrad passed away peacefully on June 1, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born in Long Island, NY on May 30, 1952 to Muriel and David Gootrad, the oldest of three children. After graduating from New Trier West High School, he attended the University of Illinois, and won the U of I Architecture Award. In 1983, he married the love of his life, Linda Weisberg.

Peter was proceeded in death by his parents, Muriel and David, niece, Samantha Keeshin and son-in-law Matthew Evers. He is survived by his wife, Linda; sister, Melissa (Larry) Feldman; brother Kevin Gootrad; brother-in-laws, Mel and Joel Weisberg, and Randy (Kim) Keeshin; children Sara (Ryan) Greene and Ivy Evers; and grandchildren Ava and Parker. Peter is also loved by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, June 4th from 12pm-6pm at the home of Sara and Ryan Greene.
