Obituary for John "Jack" J. Beck

John "Jack" J. Beck, age 69, of McHenry, passed away on August, 18, 2021 at Northwestern McHenry Hospital.
He was born in Evanston on March 20, 1952, the son of John and Elizabeth Beck.

He married his wife Cynthia Merry on March, 15, 1990 at Grace Lutheran Church in Northbrook Illinois.

Jack lived in McHenry for 30 years, where he raised a beautiful family with his wife Cynthia. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in McHenry. Jack was a Printer by trade but in his free time he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and watching baseball. His family meant the world to him, he cherished the moments he got to spend with them and his beloved Maggie dog. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Cynthia; his children: Daniel (Jennifer) Beck, John (Melissa) Beck, Emily (Doug) Carrier and Jennifer Rodriguez; his 10 grandchildren: Nathanial, Maximus, Fitzgerald, Norah, Saige, Jackson, Charly, Ella, Olivia and Piper; his siblings: Joanne Furlong, James (Barb) Beck and Julie Beck.

He was preceded in death by his parents John A. Beck and Elizabeth Scheuber.

Visitation will take place, Saturday, August 28th , 2021 from 11am to 1pm at Colonial Funeral Home, McHenry IL. Funeral service will begin at 1pm at the funeral home chapel and will be followed by interment at Woodland Cemetery in McHenry.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
