If your junior high is planning a get-together, we are happy to post it at the Friday Evening Options link on the left. Please email the time, location, and/or contact information to newtrier1970@gmail.com
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8: SCHOOL TOURS AND THE BIG EVENT!

1:00pm       Guided tour of New Trier East Campus
In the evening:       THE BIG EVENT!!
5:30pm

Junior high reunions: Each junior high will be offered a designated area to meet before the NT reunion starts.
Cash bar will be open.

6:30pm

The NT reunion will begin with a Welcome Toast and the opening of the food buffets.
Each school will have its own "special" area but all are invited to wander freely among the two main spaces. Your name tag will be color coded so you can easily determine which school someone attended.
There will be sumptuous buffets, cash bars (actually credit and debit card bars only -- no cash), and no assigned seating.
We will play "our music" but at conversation -- rather than party -- volume.
Giant screens will scroll photos of us and our activities way-back-when!

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9: BRUNCH AT SKOKIE COUNTRY CLUB!
11:00am

Another opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. The brunch will cost $30.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

From our NTW classmate, Richard B. Wolin:

Very pleased to announce the publication of my new book:

*HEIDEGGER IN RUINS: BETWEEN PHILOSOPHY AND IDEOLOGY*
(Yale University Press, 488 pages; available @ Amazon.com)

The book calls to mind a remark by philandering philosophy professor, Abe Lucas (played by Joaquin Phoenix), in Woody Allen's pitch-perfect, ivory tower send-up, "Irrational Man": "All the world needs is another book about Heidegger and Fascism." In retrospect, perhaps I should have heeded Professor Lucas's sage advice!!

All male NTE classmates are to report to the NTE pool for mandatory nude swimming instruction! (Awww, you had to be there to get it!)
