EMERGENCY CHANGE OF VENUE FOR SATURDAY'S REUNION
Sometimes in life we're thrown a curve ball...
Late yesterday (Thursday) evening we were notified that the food service at Skokie Country Club was closed down due to salmonella. Your reunion committee members have scrambled and found a more than suitable location to move our event to:

The club is located just east of Skokie Boulevard on the south side of OLD Glenview Road, which is the next stoplight south of New Glenview Road.
Everything else remains the same: junior high reunions at 5pm, high school reunion at 7:30pm, and so on.
Please contact everyone you know who is coming to the event and let them know about the change of location. Thank goodness for email and cell phones and texting to help us get the word out. We also will have people posted at Skokie Country Club for those who don’t get the message to direct them to Westmoreland.
This could be a lot worse – they could have closed down the club the day AFTER our reunion. This is quite serious as we understand that several people are in the hospital due to this. After 6 months of careful planning and an outstanding response, who could have anticipated this?
Thank you for your understanding, help, and cooperation. We apologize for any and all inconvenience. We're still going to have a great party! Bring your dancing shoes! And we have printed the name tags in extra large font, in green for NTE classmates and blue for NTW classmates!

New Trier East and New Trier West Class of 1970 will hold their 40th Reunion on Saturday, June 26, 2010. Junior high reunions will begin at 5:00 P.M., and the New Trier East and West combined party will start at around 7:30 P.M.
Please share this information with all classmates with whom you are in touch and have them do the same with the classmates they know, and so on. Then be sure to forward their email addresses to us on the link on this website.
This is the ONLY way contact is being made.
We really would like to reach out to ALL junior high school and New Trier High School classmates in our year. Many classmates only attended junior high school in Glencoe, Kenilworth, Northfield, Wilmette, and Winnetka and did not attend New Trier. Some went to private high schools or moved away. They are invited, too!
We need you to create your profile on the New Trier East/West Class of 1970 website, even if you will not be able to attend the reunion. In order to do so, click on the "Classmate Profiles" link at the top left. Then scroll down until you find your name, click on it and follow the directions to complete your profile. [If your name does not appear, please send an email to newtrier1970@gmail.com.] You can include links to personal and business websites in your profile. Please upload a photo to your profile, too! There will not be a Memory Book created for this reunion, but rather this website will serve that purpose. What's more, this website will live on beyond our reunion and you will always be able to update your profile and add photos. It is recommended that you "lock" your profile in order to limit access to registered classmates only.
After you have completed your profile, please click on the "40-Year Reunion" link on the left and register for the reunion itself as soon as possible so we know how many will be attending, which will help us plan the event. There is a link there for you to make your payment by credit card, or details on where to mail your check. The cost of the event is $100 per person, which includes both the junior high and high school reunions. Please make payment as soon as possible so we can prepare name tags and order the appropriate amount of food.
NO credit cards will be accepted the night of the event for either the admission or the cash bar.
If you know of a classmate who is no longer with us, please click on the "In Memory" link on the left and then complete and submit the form. Please note that on the form you must select the classmate's name from a dropdown list in order to add his/her name. This list contains the names of ALL of our classmates, living and deceased, approximately 1,500 in all. Do NOT assume someone is deceased because his/her name is on the dropdown list. Please note that this information will not automatically be posted to the site's "In Memory" page. Your posting will be sent to the site administrator for final editing and verification. If the classmate's name does not appear on the dropdown list, please send an email with the relevant information to newtrier1970@gmail.com. Thank you.
